Bumble.

With his oversized ears, buck-toothed grin and wonderfully geeky expression, meet Bumble... one of the Baby 5 collection. It's hard to imagine that this delightfully awkward little buffalo calf will one day become one of Africa's most powerful and respected animals. For now, he's all curiosity, innocence and charm—still growing into those ears and goofy grin, and blissfully unaware of the strength that lies ahead.

Buffalo are renowned for their extraordinary devotion to the herd. Every calf is fiercely protected, with mothers and the rest of the herd standing shoulder to shoulder to defend their young. When danger threatens, they don't flee and leave a calf behind—they often turn back together, facing predators as one. It is this unwavering loyalty and courage that makes the Cape buffalo one of Africa's most respected and prolific animals.

Like every painting in the Baby 5 series, Bumble celebrates the irresistible vulnerability of Africa's youngest wildlife while reminding us that greatness often has the humblest beginnings. Behind the comical smile is a future giant, protected by the herd and destined to embody resilience, courage and belonging. As one of the Baby 5 collection, Bumble is a celebration of new beginnings, individuality and the quiet confidence that comes from knowing you are never alone. Sometimes the quirkiest little characters leave the biggest impression.
